Financial Information

The current insurance environment is very complex. Oral and maxillofacial procedures often encompass both medical and dental billing, and this adds an additional layer of bureaucracy to claims we submit on your behalf. Your patience and cooperation are greatly appreciated. In spite of our best efforts, most treatment plans provide only estimated rather than actual costs. We are available to discuss any issues regarding personal financial situations; however, these discussions must be scheduled with the administrative staff in advance so we may arrange for the attention and privacy you deserve. We are not able to provide cost estimates for proposed treatments during consultation visits, but we will inform you of estimated copays, deductibles, etc. prior to your surgery. We will prior authorize claims with your insurance company upon request, but this will often delay treatment by several weeks. We will also assist you with claim submission to insurance companies that we are not contracted providers with; however, as is any situation regarding third party payers, we cannot be responsible for denials or downgrades deemed appropriate by an insurance company.

Please remember that you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage.  Most insurance companies will respond to claim inquiries within four to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect payments made by your insurance company during that time period. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid its portion is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated. We can make arrangements for a payment plan, but that must be implemented prior to any actual procedures.

For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We endeavor to deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost possible, therefore payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at 401-789-9758 . Many times, a simple telephone call can clear up any misunderstandings.

We understand that care may be expensive, but we pledge that we will do our best to work with you regarding any fiscal issues that arise.
